Audrey was an 8th grade Language Arts teacher and co-director of the theatre productions at CY Middle School for 15 years. Her passion for the theatre began in 6th grade when she starred in her first production, Annie. Since then she has been in many productions in both the United States and Canada, and has traveled with the cast of Up With People performing the show, Roads, for a year.
Audrey’s love of theatre has focused more on directing and inspiring young performers in the last two decades. Joining the CCT has been a dream come true for Audrey, and she loves being able to use her passion and talents to inspire, direct, and shape the landscape of children’s theatre in Casper.
Nick grew up in Lusk, Wyoming — the most populated town in the least populated county in the least populated state! After graduating from Niobrara County High School (the other NCHS) in 2017, he moved to Casper to study theatre at Casper College, earning dual associate degrees in Theatre Performance and Technical Theatre.
Nick’s love of theatre was sparked early on — drawn to the magic of play, pretend, costumes, special effects, and even the occasional fog, bubbles, and snow on stage! For Nick, CCT isn’t just a children’s theatre; it’s a community, a place of belonging, creativity, and growth.
With a background as a true jack of all trades (and master of some!), Nick has done everything from designing sets and lighting for Opera Wyoming and CCT, to building costumes, choreographing, stage managing, and directing. Highlights include designing the set and lights for Frozen JR. and staging a world premiere black light production of Alice in Wonderland with an original script. Most recently, he served as CCT’s Technical Director — and now steps into the role of Artistic Director, bringing big dreams and an even bigger heart.
Susan is a proud Wyoming native who has called Casper home for the past 11 years. A dedicated stay-at-home mom to five children and wife to Adam, she first became involved with CCT when her kids discovered their passion for theatre. Since then, all five have taken the stage in numerous productions, deepening Susan’s connection to the organization. She values the opportunity to give back by serving on the board since 2021 and is passionate about supporting both CCT and the Casper community.
Mary joined the CCT Board of Directors in 2018. She has seen the very important, positive impact the theatre has had on our Casper community and on the children who participate in the program. Mary joined the Board to help the theatre continue its important work. She also serves on the Casper Children’s Chorale Board, on the Wyoming Children’s Law Center Board, and as a Casper Chamber Ambassador.
Lea joined the CCT Board in 2019. Her son loves the Children’s Theatre and her family has been involved for several years. She wanted to invest more time and energy in the theatrical arts because they benefitted both her and her family in numerous ways. Lea keeps busy with her sons’ activities, but always makes time to deliver Meals on Wheels every Tuesday.
Buffie is so grateful to be able to be part of this incredible board. Buffie has worked with youth using theater as a vehicle for self discovery for quite a few decades. She has had the pleasure to work in educational theater in places, such as Alaska, throughout Oregon, New York, Nantucket, and New Orleans, to name a few. She was a founding arts integrator for Drama Notebook. She holds a BFA from the University of Montana in theater arts with an educational emphasis.
Bethanie is a Wyoming native and proud mom of two. She has always had a deep appreciation for the arts—whether teaching painting classes, attending local theater, or visiting world-renowned museums and Broadway productions.
Her journey with The Casper Children’s Theatre began in 2022, when her daughter auditioned for the first time. Inspired by the experience, Bethanie became eager to contribute to the theatre’s mission. With great passion for working with children, she hopes to help foster inclusion and create a space where theatre can continue to thrive within the Casper community.
